ELECTRONIC BUSINESS OPERATION- A CHANCE OF CROATIAN ECONOMY IN THE 21st CENTURY Izvorni znanstveni članak Two phenomena crucially influenced restructuring of world economy and business operation of century-development of informatics and development of telecommunications, crowned by development of Internet. These phenomena directly contributed to procreation of the so-called new economy, in frames of which the focus of productive activities "moves" from material sphere to the field of services, and information becomes fundamental business resource. At the end of the 20th century that resulted in comprehension and implementation of the concept of electronic business operation. This concept is sometimes identified with the concept of electronic commerce what is radically wrong, because electronic commerce perhaps is the most prominent and popular segment of electronic business operation, but along with it develops a whole series of further activities helped by informatics and Internet. In each of them especially encourages new entrepreneurial špirit by which they are imbued, and which enables realization of business efficiency without precedent in the whole economic history of humanity.
